Waldrop has been part of Upstate South Carolina since 1970, when Benny Waldrop started the business in Spartanburg. What began as a heating and air conditioning company has grown into a full-service home comfort provider — HVAC, plumbing, and electrical — serving seven counties across the Upstate.
Who We Are Today
We’re a team of over 130 people: licensed plumbers, NATE-certified HVAC technicians, licensed electricians, dispatchers, customer service representatives, and support staff. We operate from two locations — our headquarters in Duncan and our Greenwood office — and service homes from Anderson to Cherokee County.
Our technicians aren’t just skilled — they’re trained through Waldrop University, our in-house program that develops the next generation of trade professionals. When a Waldrop technician arrives at your door, they’ve been trained on both the technical and customer service sides of the job.
How We Work
Diagnosis first. We never recommend work without understanding the problem. Our technicians take the time to diagnose accurately, explain what they find in plain language, and present options — not just the most expensive one.
Flat-rate pricing. You know the cost before we start. No hourly billing, no surprises, no watching the clock.
One-visit resolution. Our trucks are stocked with the most common parts for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repairs. The goal is to fix it today, not schedule a return trip.
No pressure. We present options and let you decide. Our technicians are evaluated on customer satisfaction, not sales pressure.
What We Do
HVAC: Installation, repair, and maintenance for all heating and cooling systems — central air, heat pumps, furnaces, ductless mini-splits, geothermal, and duct systems. We’re NATE-certified and NCI-certified.
Plumbing: Everything from faucet repairs and drain cleaning to water heater installation, sewer line repair, repiping, gas lines, and water filtration systems.
Electrical: Panel upgrades, wiring, outlet and switch installation, EV charger installation, lighting, surge protection, and electrical safety inspections. Added in December 2025 to serve the growing electrical needs of Upstate homeowners.
Club Wally: Our Maintenance Program
Wally the Walrus is our mascot — you’ll see him on our trucks, our ads, and our team’s shirts. He represents our commitment to friendly, reliable service. Club Wally, our maintenance membership program, carries that same spirit: we take care of your systems so you don’t have to think about them.
Members get two annual tune-ups, priority scheduling, discounted repairs, and no overtime charges. It’s the easiest way to protect your home’s systems and avoid emergency breakdowns.
