HOW WATER FILTRATION WORKS
As the name implies, water filtration systems use filtration media to remove unwanted inclusions from your water. However, because your water contains a large number of different inclusions, no single filter media will remove everything. Thus, modern whole-home water filtration systems will actually run your water through several different filtration media to remove as much as possible. However, despite this, most whole-home water filtration systems are generally fairly small, with many being no larger than the size of a water softener tank.
